Mac 217 blending brush alternatives

Decent blending brushes are a must when it comes to make up, particularly eye make up. You need something the right size and shape to really get in there and blend everything out perfectly. I've been a big fan of the Mac 217 brush for a long time now, it makes application so easy and if you use it you'll have a good make up day, I promise. Whilst its lasted me a really long time I have to admit it has seen better days, poor thing, so I've been hunting around for some alternatives. Ideally I'd have 20 Mac 217's and I'd be a very happy girl but the price of this little brush keeps creeping up (now at £20) so I thought I would do a bit of investigating to see if there are any cheaper 'dupes' out there. Luckily I've found some good 'uns.....

The first one I found is the Crown C433 Pro Blending fluff brush which is an absolute bargain at £6.55. With this one I do notice that the bristles aren't as soft as the ones on the Mac brush and you can tell on the whole that the brush isn't as high quality. However, I think for the price its great, it takes a little more work to blend with this but it does get the job done so it gets a thumbs up from me.

Another one I've been testing out for a while now is the Zoeva 227 Soft Definer Brush. In all honesty I personally cannot tell much of a difference between this one and the Mac one, admittedly I haven't had it as long so don't know how it'll last but so far it washes well and is soft enough to blend everything out seamlessly. This brush is well priced at £6.95 and for the quality I really don't think you can argue with that. Love this one, a lot.

I like all three of these brushes and I would purchase all of them again. On the whole though I think if I had to go for one the Zoeva brush gets it- it's soft, blends well, doesn't shed its bristles, the list goes on. It basically ticks everything you need in a blending brush and when you can pretty much buy three of these to one of the Mac ones it becomes a bit of a no brainer right?

Do you know of any other dupes for the Mac 217? If so I'd love to hear about it so please leave me a comment :)
