A nosey through my travel make up bag

Before I start this post I'll 'fess up now to being a serial over packer so don't judge! However, I still wanted to share with you all what I will be taking in my make up bag on my trip to New York. Products I take away with me are things that are tried and tested so you probably won't be surprised by what I'm taking if you're a regular reader, here goes....

The first thing I packed was the Benefit Porefessional to prime my skin, I have a bit of a love/ hate with this product but at the minute I'm enjoying using it as my pores are huuuuge. For base I like to take a lightweight option such as the Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser to wear whilst on the place etc so that I have a bit of coverage but also something that isn't clogging up my pores and causing mass breakouts. I'll also pack a fuller coverage foundation and this time I decided to go with Estee Lauder Double Wear as I've really got back into this recently and it lasts well. I take my three trusty concealers- Urban Decay Naked Concealer which is a good all rounder. Estee Lauder BB Glow Highlighter for days when I need extra help in the under eye baggage area (which is most!) and Mac Studio Finish Concealer which will cover up any unwelcome lurkers. I'll then set all that with the Make Up Forever HD Powder which I have in a small size so nice and handy for travelling.

For contour and highlight I have picked the Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow because I basically can't live without it, I've used it pretty much ever day since I got it and can't see anything replacing it for a long time so of course it has to come with me. I've got two blush options, one matte which is the Natural Collection Peach Melba and one shimmery which is Maxfactor's Creme Puff Blush in Seductive Pink. Then I'll set the whole lot with this travel size Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray which will make sure my make up doesn't budge during my long days of sightseeing.

To tame my unruly brows I'll take this little duo that I know keeps them in place all day- Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Ebony and Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/ Deep.

For eyeshadow I've packed Mac Painterly as a primer and the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette as I can get so many looks out of it. I've gone for 3 liners mainly chosen because of their staying power which are the Rimmel Scandal'Eyes Waterproof Kohl in black, Stila Smudge Stick in Damsel and Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner in black. To finish eyes I've chucked in Benefit They're Real for mascara.

Lip options are where I get really stuck as they're my favourite thing and I want to take every single one I own so after much deliberation I narrowed it down to four lipliners and five lipsticks, which I know is still a lot but it's the best I could do! Starting with lipliners I've packed Boldly Bare, Spice, Soar and Vino which are all by Mac (surprise, surprise), I've kept them fairly neutral, bar Vino, so that I can mix and match them with the lippies. Again, I've picked all neutral colours except one, I've gone with the Sephora Lip Creme in Marvellous Mauve, Estee Lauder Dynamic, Mac Velvet Teddy and Mac Persistence so a mix of dusty pinks and browns which is pretty much all I wear at the moment. I'm also taking Mac Viva Glam III which I use with Vino loads, I love it so much and never hear anyone talk about it- bizarre.

Phew! If you're still reading then well done, that was probably one of my longest posts. I'm only going for a few days but I'm sorry this is the least I can take, I need options people!! If you want to see what I'm up to on my holiday then get following me on social media where I'll be posting regular updates.
