Testing out Make Up Geek eyeshadows- finally!!

I know, I know, I'm so late to the party with this one but you know what they say....better late than never! Make Up Geek eyeshadows are so bloody popular at the moment and now that they're sold on BeautyBay they're easy to get hold of. I have quite a collection of Mac eyeshadows and I know a lot of peeps say these are great alternatives and at only a fiver an absolute bargain too. After much research I ordered six shades to get my Make Up Geek collection going, though in reality I could easily have ordered about fifty of them. Here are the little beauties....

Top of my list was Cocoa Bear which is a matte brown that leans slightly on the red toned side, this is such a nice crease shade and is versatile with so many looks.

Bitten is a deep berry, red matte colour, its sooo pretty and I think this will look amazing in the Autumn.

I wanted to get a typical transition shade that I could get lots of use out of and would blend out colours well so I went for Creme Brûlée. I'd describe this as a light toned brown, to me it almost looks a little peachy in certain lights. This pairs really well with Cocoa Bear for a simple daytime look.

I love light shimmery colours as I think they look pretty all over the lid- when I'm having a lazy make up day I just sling a bit on with some mascara so I have a little something on my eyes at least. Cinderella is a pale pink shade and I love it, whats not to love? Its called Cinderella!!

Burlesque is another shimmery shade but this time its a deep, purpley, red. I always think these kinds of colours look great on brown eyes so I tend to gravitate towards them. I haven't experimented too much with this one yet but it really is a beautiful shade.

Last up but by no means least is the absolute stunner that is Cosmopolitan. I was so excited about this as I have been wanting Mac's Expensive Pink for ages and ages so when I saw this it went in my basket without a second thought. It's a gorgeous pink, rose gold iridescent shade that changes between pink and gold depending on how the light hits it. I have been wearing this as a wash all over the lid and it looks amazing. This by far is the favourite colour I picked up.

L-R- Cocoa Bear, Bitten, Creme Brûlée, Cinderella, Burlesque and Cosmopoliton
These shadows really do live up to the hype, they're pigmented, they blend well and they last ages on the eyes. I am also so impressed by the shade range, there are tonnes of wearable neutrals but also loads of brighter colours if you want to mix it up a bit.

I can't wait to expand my collection of these so please let me know you're favourites!
