July Favourites 2016

Just a quick monthly faves from me this time as I'm conscious that I've raved about a lot of these products already! All my July products are from the drugstore, I just can't keep out of there....

First up is a foundation that I've had a few tubes of in the past as its easily one of my all time top foundations, its from Loreal and its the Infallible 24 Hour Matte. I love this as it gets on with my oily skin like a house on fire, it gives a gorgeous matte finish but the coverage isn't too cakey so it works perfectly for day to day wear. So pleased to have this back in my life and little confused as to why I didn't replace it straight away last time! I won't be making that mistake again.

I bought Essie's Lady Like earlier in the year and must have worn it about 3 or 4 times in July, so pretty much constantly. It's just such a pretty pale beige/ mauve shade and I just love how understated and sophisticated it looks on my nails. The good thing is that it being such a natural colour if you get a chip or two it isn't glaringly obvious- hooray!

The Nyx HD Eyeshadow Base has just been working wonders with my eye make up. This really does work, by the end of the day my shadows haven't creased and even seem to last through a gym session well too. I've been so impressed with this, its one of my favourite discoveries so far this year.

Of course I had to include a lip product and the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in Orange Shot has been the ultimate shade for the heat wave we had. I'm not sure I agree its a matte finish as it really isn't, it still has a slight sheen even when dry but honestly its so comfortable and long wearing that I can forgive it for that. This will look fab on my upcoming holiday in the evenings, I can't wait.

Last but not least is the absolute bargain that is the MUA Heaven and Earth Palette, £4 this palette cost, £4!! Ok so the packaging is basic but the shadows are such good quality, they blend well and the earthy tones are so wearable. I have been reaching for this tonnes since I got it- love, love, love!

I'm sure you'll be seeing my August faves before you know it, I hope you all have a great month.

  1. LOVE the MUA eye pallets. They're such good value. Heard some really great things about NYX so adding this eyeshadow base to the list of things to try. The Essie nail polish is gorgeous too. Don't think I've come across Lady Like before so I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks, great post!

    1. Lady Like does not get talked about enough IMO! Thanks for the lovely comment x

  2. That Essie polish is so pretty! I have wanted to try the L'Oreal infallible foundation for such a long time now but I haven't gotten around to finding my shade (whoops). MUA is one o my favourite inexpensive makeup brands, their eyeshadows are amazing! -xo
