January faves 2017

January is over (hooray!!) so that means its time for my monthly favourites. If you are a regular reader then a lot of these won't come as a surprise!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette- My new love *sighs* its just so pretty. I do think I need to start being a bit more sparing with it though as I hit pan on one of the shadows yesterday and I've only had it a month- oops. I did a full review on this masterpiece but overall its just stunning, with beautiful colours and amazing quality shadows. Oh and the packaging is light purple velvet, what more do I need to say?

Ben Nye Fair Translucent Powder- I love this powder! It sets make up so nicely, especially concealer under the eyes. What I like most about this is that it has a little colour to it, sometimes the white powders leave a cast on the skin and this one doesn't do that. My only annoyance with this is the container, it comes out of a pepper shaker type lid which has a tendency to go all over the place so you end up wasting some of the product. I can get over that though as it does such a good job.

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte And Poreless Foundation- I have used this loads throughout January and did a full review earlier in the month. This offers great coverage, keeps my oils at bay and lasts well throughout the day with minimal powdering needed. Super impressed with this and think it'll be a regular in my make up bag rotation.

Victorias Secret Fragrance Lotion in Amber Romance- I can sometimes be a bit slack with moisturising my body but in this cold weather my skin needs it all the more as its so god damn dry. I have been reaching for this one a lot as the scent lingers for a long time, leaves me well moisturised and most importantly, it sinks in quickly.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (Pink Pepper & Mint Limited Edition)- I am so pleased to have this cleanser back in my life, I especially like the limited edition scent. This removes make up effortlessly, I use a couple of pumps and remove it with the hot cloth. I'm quite lazy when it comes to removing make up so I'm pleased that you can use this to remove pesky eye make up too rather than needing a separate product.

Mac Stripdown Lip Liner- this lipliner has always been a popular one from Mac's range but I never bought it because I just didn't think it would suit me. Well how wrong I was! This pencil goes with so many of my lipsticks and I have been using it tonnes. It's a brown toned nude and as well as pairing it with your fave nudes you can also wear it alone as it just looks gorgeous. I've been loving having a change from all the pinky toned nudes I wear and don't think I could be without this now.

Nyx Micro Brow Pencil- I have always been a brow pomade fan but January 2017 was the discovery of this eyebrow pencil. My brows naturally are huge and wild so they need lots of taming (the girls in Benefit Brow Bars are my heroes), this pencil has a handy spoolie on one end that I have been loving for neatening up my brows. The pencil itself it a twist up one and has a very fine nib so you can really get in there and create natural looking brow hairs.

What things were you loving in January? Leave me a comment, I'd love to know.
