March faves 2017

Another month, another favourites post. You know the drill people!

The past few months I have been trying out other contour/ highlight palettes but I found that in March I was fully back on board with the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow. The bronze shade suits my skin well and the highlighter is subtle to give a natural glow. These powders blend out beautifully and are perfectly pigmented. It's super handy for travelling too as it really is all I need to get some definition on my face.

I also rediscovered the Maxfactor Creme Puff Blush in Seductive Pink, I was actually obsessed with these blushes when they first came out so I've been enjoying getting reacquainted. These are supposed to be a dupe for the Hourglass ones but I must confess I don't own one so can't compare! This gives a natural, pretty pink flush to your cheeks and is nicely buildable. I also like that it has a slight shimmer, just enough to give a sheen without it being a full on glitter-fest.

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer has been the one for me these past few week. Forgive its dodgy packaging with a pump that dispenses way too much and a glass bottle which smashes very easily, I'm talking from personal experience there, as the product inside is amazing. A little of this goes a long way and it covers up the biggest of eye bags and also work pretty well on blemishes and spots. I also like that it doesn't fade away throughout the day either. If you're going to use this in the under
eye are I would definitely recommend setting it with powder as other wise you may get a bit of creasing but to be fair thats fairly standard with most concealers.

I've got two lippies for you because I just couldn't pick. First I have been absolutely loving the Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lipstick in Sensual, its a peachy, nude shade and I've been wearing it tonnes. I often wear brown/ bronze eye looks so a shade like this works so well with that kind of look, making it a 'go to' option. I also love how this wears, its comfy and stays put for a decent amount of time.

My second one is the Nyx Liquid Suede in Sandstorm. Still a nude but with much more of a brown tone to it, again this is one I been wearing day to day. The formula dries down a little darker than it appears in the tube and I find it last for so long, in fact some days I don't even reapply it because it still looks that good. If you said to me a few years ago that I would love brown toned nudes I would have laughed at you but I am totally hooked, on this one in particular.

I have already mentioned the PS Precious Metals Nail Lacquer in Starstuck in my Primark beauty post and I talked then about how much I liked this. The colour of this is a gorgeous bronze shade which would look perfect with a tan and the formula is just right, not too thick and gloopy and not too runny and streaky. It also stays put for a good few days without chipping, of course that is with a top coat! I just think for the price this is such a little gem.

As always, let me know what you were loving in March!
