Minimal make up routine

You know the situation, some days you just need your make up on snappy with no fuss and minimal effort. I've noticed I have a few products I always turn to when I'm in a rush but really need to look a bit more presentable and put together...

First off I want to even out my skin with something that is relatively light coverage and gives a natural finish, lately Loreal True Match Foundation is what I have turned to for this job. I admit its not my fave foundation as you would have read in my review, however on days when I just want to add a little glow and coverage to my skin it does the trick.

I then whip out a brightening concealer for my undereyes and ever since I got the Mac Highlighter in Radiant Rose I can't put it down, it has a pink tone too it which is perfect on my skin tone and covers up any tell tale signs of tiredness!

I may then have a few pesky blemishes that need that extra bit of attention so I'll dab on a bit of the Mac Studio Finish Concealer Duo to disguise them. I like the consistency of this because it blends into foundation effortlessly using just your fingers.

To set my under eye and t-zone area I apply my trusted Nyx HD Finishing Powder which blurs everything together nicely and keeps any creasing at bay.

On minimal days I do tend to skip highlighter and bronzer but as I am incredibly pale I do feel I need a bit of colour in my cheeks just to give a bit of life to them and a glow, the Essence Satin Touch Blush in Satin Love is a gorgeous, natural, pinky/ mauve shade. It has just the right amount of pigmentation to be able to create a natural finish easily with one swipe.

Again, this look is all about making me look awake and presentable so I apply a little eye make up of course. An easy 'go to' palette in this scenario is the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette, it contains a good mixture of neutral browns that are mattes and shimmers so you can combine colours pretty easily. Lately, I have been using Heaven all over the lid and Nudie and Cashmere Bunny through the crease.

The Nyx Wonder Pencil on my inner eye is an life saver as it opens out your eyes and it does work, well...wonders!

Of course I then finish off the eyes with my trusty Maybelline Lash Sensational, which I have been utterly in love with since I got. This give such black, thick, voluminous lashes even after just one coat.

For lips, again, I go for something fairly natural and the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua is the perfect rosey, pink. The applicator on this makes it so easily to create a nice shape to lip, they stay put a long time on the lip and don't need a lipliner. So it really is ideal to create a quick lip.
