Rimmel London Looks By Jess

The Rimmel collaboration with Jess Woodley (of Made In Chelsea fame) was something that initially I had little interest in, however after seeing pics of the range going round on social media I started to pay attention. In particular I was drawn to the lippies so I headed to Boots pronto to try and get my hands on them.

I picked up three of the five in the collection, the other two didn't really jump out at me. After a little research it doesn't appear that these are new shades from Rimmel but ones that Jess has selected from the Lasting Finish Lipstick (£4.99) range. Each lipstick had a coordinating nail polish which went together to create the 'look'. I did pick up one of the nail polishes but I'll come on to that in a bit.

The formula of the Lasting Finish Lipsticks is very moisturising and they do stick around a decent amount of time but you can't really get away for a day without reapplying. That doesn't concern me much though, I'd rather that than something that dries the hell out of your lips. These do bleed a little so I would recommend a lipliner but, again, thats no biggie.

Lets get on to the shades...

Heather Shimmer- a pink shimmery shade with a bit of purple chucked in for good measure. A lipstick of this shade is not something I would normally pick but for some reason I just gravitated towards it. Shimmers and metallics are a big trend on the beauty scene right now and I am actually really loving it. It's definitely a throwback colour and apparently this used to be a bit of a cult fave from Rimmel.

Heartbreaker- a bold, vibrant pink shade. This is one of those colours that will be the focus of your make up look. I have tried this out with a really simple, soft brown eyeshadow and big, voluminous lashes and have to say that I thought it looked awesome.

Starry Eyed- a gorgeous deep, purple shade, probably not something I would necessarily wear loads this time of year but still gorgeous all the same. On a night out this is perfect for creating a vampy look.

Like I said, I did get one of the Super Gel Nail Polishes too in the shade Shameless Selfie. I'm not usually a pink nail polish kinda gal but there was no way I could resist this shade as its just stunning.
Did you pick up anything from the range?
