Daily Make Up Bag #1

I am a warm toned make up gal, I just love all the bronze, gold and peach hues. For the past few weeks I've been using a lot of warm tones and products to liven up a slightly tired January complexion (I'm sure thats a thing!) and these have been my go to's.

For my base I have been starting with The Ordinary High Adherene Silicone Primer (£3.90, review) which I have to admit I'm still not the biggest fan of but going back to my 2018 beauty resolutions I need to start using stuff up! It's not that I hate this product because I don't, Im using it, I'm just not convinced it does much for the longevity of my make up. However, I do like the slightly tacky feeling it leaves on my skin to apply my foundation to.

The Rimmel Lasting Perefection Foundation in Light Porcelain (£8.29) has been in the realms of my stash for a while feeling unloved so I've been using it again reguarly. About 3 years ago I used this foundation a lot so I'm pleased to have it back in my routine. I've heard it referred to as a Nars Sheer Glow dupe which personally I don't agree with, I think the application takes a bit more work than the Nars one. However, having said that it does give a nice natural, finish, I'm not sure I'd say its 'glowy' more 'satin' which I like for day to day wear.

I dont want to spend ages talking about the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19) as I'm sure you all know the deal with this by now. To sum up its long been my day to day go to as it gives fab coverage and stays in place all day with no annoying creasing!

Another product I could bang on about until the cows came home is the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder (£29, review). I genuinely don't know how I got by without this in my collection because ever since I bought it last year I have been using it non-stop, it sets make up, keeps the oil away and works amazingly when baking. A powder that really deserves its hype in my opinion.

My cheek combination has been the Soap & Glory Solar Powder (£11) which is ideal for my fair skin, I tend to use the paler shade on its own but on days I want a bit more definition I swirl in some of the darker shade too. Then for blush I've been opting for the beaut that is the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (£10) which is a peach tone with gold shimmer. This works wonders at brightening up a dull complexion making it a lifesaver this time of year. The warm tone of it also looks amazing in the summer. Of course I have to finish with a bit of highlighter and the champagne shade in the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow (£49.99) is the one for me, I love that it gives a glow without being too full on, making it ideal for daytime.

Moving on to eyes I've been priming with my beloved Mac Paint Pot in Painterly (£16) which is the perfect nude tone for me and helps to prolong my eyeshadow wear throughout the day. I've been obsessed with the Colour Pop Yes, Please! Palette ($16, review) as it's warm toned perfection. I like that there are more mattes than shimmers as they come in so handy for creating day time looks. The pigmentation of these shadows is amazing, especially for the tiny price tag, and the colours work together so well.

I've been keeping the finishing touches of my eye look fairly simple with a slick of the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in Black (£4.49) smudged into my lash line and the Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara (£8.99) to give me big, curly lashes with lots of volume.

For my brows I've been reaching for the L'Oreal Brow Pomade in Ebony (£9.99, review) which is a good match for my eyebrows and super easy to apply, just make sure you go with a light hand! Then you have control if you need to build it up a little more. To finish I've been brushing through with Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel (£20) which adds a little more colour (meaning it also works great on its own) and keeps them in place all day. Anything that can tame my wild eyebrows is a winner in my eyes.

I've been changing it up a little for lips and actually been opting for a gloss believe it or not. I just can't get enough of the PS... My Perfect Nude Nourishing Lipgloss in Caramel Kiss (£2), it's pigmented with quite a thick but not sticky consistency. I find this formula to actually be fairly similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lipglosses which are some of my favourites. To intensify the colour further I have been applying the Mac Lipliner in Spice (£13) which is the perfect warmed toned brown nude.
