February Favourites 2018

Let's get straight into the products I was enjoying in February!

First up is an oldie but a goodie. I have been having a love affair with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19) for years now and when they recently released a Shade 0 Extra Fair I let out a little squeal and then made it my mission to hunt it down. I luckily found it a couple of days later, bought two of them (I knew I would need a back up) and haven't stopped using it. Previously I was using Shade 1 Fair which does work on me but this Shade 0 is just that little bit fairer so it helps to brighten up that pesky under eye area a little bit more. The coverage is great as usual and this is still the concealer I reach for daily.

Benefit launched the Bad Gal Bang Mascara (£21, review) and my opinions on it are still kind of mixed. I decided to include it in my favourites though as there is no denying I have been using it a lot these past few weeks because I love how it makes my lashes look. It curls them as well as adding volume and length. On your lower lashes it also look amazing. My issue with it is that it transfers, every single day I've worn this by the end of the day I have black marks under my eyes and I don't have that issue with other mascaras. I'm not aware of other people having this issue with it though so maybe its just me, who knows.

My lipstick of choice lately has been Mac's Mocha (£17.50) which I just can't get enough of. It's a Satin finish which is my favourite from Mac as its long wearing, comfortable and has a slight sheen. This is such a 'me' shade, I love Velvet Teddy from Mac and Lolita II by Kat Von D so it makes sense that this is right up my street. Why I didn't already have this in my collection I'll never know!

The Milani Powder Blush in Romantic Rose (£12) is one of those shades thats just great for day to day. It's a subtle, matte, dusty pink so it gives a nice flush to the cheeks but can easily be built up. I have used this a lot and you can't really tell from the pan! Also, how could you miss the rose design? It's almost too pretty to use.... almost.

On my nails I've worn the Barry M Gel Hi-Shine in Peanut Butter (£3.99, review) several times. I'm slightly addicted to anything peanut butter related so it makes sense that I add this to my beauty stash. I love a nude on my nails and this is a different take on my usual choices, its warm toned and I think the name is the perfect description. It has a super glossy shine that mimics a gel mani, my obsession with this will carry on for a while.

Keeping to the theme of hand products next up I have a hand cream. The Neom Nourish, Breathe & Energise Hand Balm (£15) has been permanently in my handbag for a while now and its saving my hands from this cold weather. I'm incredibly fussy when it comes to hand creams as some of them are so sticky and take forever to sink in that I just can't use them. The formula of this one though is light and easily absorbed so its great to use when I'm on the go. The scent features grapefruit, lemon & rosemary making it refreshing and uplifting. This is without a doubt one of the best hand creams I have tried.

Last but by no means least in the Being By Sanctuary Salted Caramel & Macadamia Nut Body Mist (£5). Usually I'm a perfume kind of girl but honestly I am enjoying this body mist so much. Its a sweet caramel scent and I find you don't need a lot of this to get decent pay off. It also lingers on the skin for a long time so doesn't need loads of top ups throughout the day. I've been seriously impressed by this and know that this brand do a few other amazing smelling fragrances so I need to get my hands on them.
