Two Additions To My Barry M Stash

I have been a fan of the Barry M Nail Polishes for years, inparticular the Gelly Hi-Shines. It's been a fair while since I added to my nail polish collection so I've invested in two newbies.

As the name would suggest these have a glossy, gel-like finish and being Barry M they're an absolute steal at £3.99 each.

Application wise they have a thick brush so you only need two or three strokes to cover the nail and I find two coats gives an opaque finish. I do get a bit of chipping after a few days but that doesn't bother me too much as I like to change my nails up often anyway.

Over the years I've realised that nail polishes I like the most tend to fall into one of two categories- nudes and blues- so I got one of each!

Starting with the nude shade I got Peanut Butter. I'm not going to lie I got this partly due to the name! It's no secret that I love peanut butter and anything peanut butter flavoured (I'm looking at you Reese's). I'd seen this colour a few times on social media and I fell head over heels in love with it. It's a gorgeous twist on a standard beige, it has an almost orange/ caramel undertone to it. It's not too dissimilar to Chanel's Beige Beige which I have been eyeing up for a while so I was more than happy to pick up this version at a fraction of the price. I've worn this three or four times since getting it so its safe to say its a new favourite.

Blue Jade also stood out to me, I hadn't seen this one before so decided to try it out. It's a deep blue with an element of grey, think a denim type shade and you're not far off. I always like wearing dark colours on short nails as I feel they look quite glam, especially with a few gold rings on your fingers! I really like the deep hue of this but feel like I got it at the wrong time of year, I can't see me using it much going into Spring and Summer. That's not to take away from how gorgeous I think this shade is though, I'll definitely be squeezing in a few more wears before the weather heats up (if it ever does!).

What shades do you have in your Barry M collection?
